Abstract

Subject and goals. The relevance of research topic is due to several reasons. Firstly, this is the growth in number of international companies and multicultural organizations. Secondly, the economy globalization leads to expansion of international relations. Thirdly, the collision of different cultures is becoming more common, affecting different spheres of life. Fourthly, the poly-ethnicity of societies determines the feasibility of taking into account cross-cultural aspects in business. Under these conditions, the role of cross-cultural management is increasing in the formation of effective intercultural interaction, in reducing intercultural conflicts in order to increase the efficiency of functioning of modern organizations. The purpose of the research is to study theoretical and practical fundamentals of managing cross-cultural groups in modern conditions.
Materials and methods. The implementation of research tasks was achieved on the basis of the study of scientific sources of information regarding the essence of cross-cultural groups, their formation and management. The methodology of the research is based on system and sociocultural approaches.
Results. The theoretical analysis of "cross-cultural collective" concept is carried out, the peculiarities of their formation are disclosed, the control mechanisms of crosscultural collectives is considered taking into account domestic and foreign experience.
Conclusions. Management of cross-cultural collectives is considered as part of crosscultural management and human resource management. The greatest problems are caused by intercultural communication of collective members and the emergence of organizational conflicts due to cultural differences. Solving these problems involves using strategies to manage cross-cultural collective.
